Promoting reliable and sustainable electricity industry for socio-economic development in Ghana and West Africa.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- Provide industry research and strategy committed to enhancing the industry’s commercial viability and sustainability.
- Coordinate and facilitate activities of industry players to promote healthy cooperation and competition in the sector.
- Contribute to energy sector policy formulation in support of the best interests of its members and consumers and to facilitate Ghana’s economic development in all dealings with government and other organizations when necessary.
- Contribute to policy formulation which may affect the industry.
- Organize skills training and capacity building workshops for members
BRIEF PROFILE OF CIPDIB
The Chamber of Independent Power Producers, Distributors and Bulk Consumers (CIPDiB), is a private initiative aimed at uniting and acting as the voice of Independent Power Producers, Distributors and Bulk Consumers of electricity.
The Chamber was incorporated in February 2019 and was dully launched on June 18, 2019 at the College of Physicians and Surgeon, Accra.
The membership of the Chamber currently stands at 11 which are made up of nine (9) IPPs who accounts for over 57% of dependable electricity capacity, one (1) Power Distributor and one (1) Bulk Consumer .
