The Energy Commissioned is mandated under the law to issue guidelines for the certification of electricians within six months after the commencement of these regulations.

According to the Commission, more than thirteen thousand certified professionals have so far been passed out since the passage of the law. The graduation of one hundred and ninety-nine certified electricians in Tamale is part of the initiative to increase the number of professionals in Northern Ghana.
